Bourette silk is obtained from the cocoons created by silkworms once they become butterflies. This silk is also known as tassels or wild silk, and presents a rustic texture but a very soft feel. This fiber does not wrinkle easily, so it is a good choice for knitting blouses, dresses, tops, shawls and all kinds of summer garments.

This silk is obtained in a totally insect-friendly way, so it is 100% cruelty free.

The yarn is dyed in a marbled way, so your pieces will present a colorful tweed effect. You can find striking color mixtures, such as color 200, which combines yellow, pink and khaki, and other softer combinations such as color 203, which combines mauve, lemon yellow and aqua blue. Choose your favorite one!

• Its thickness is perfect to work with the 3 - 3.5 mm knitting needles or with the 4 - 5 mm crochet hook.
• Mount 24 stitches and do 32 rows to knit a 10 x 10 cm gauge.
• Washable at up to 30ºC with the wool spin cycle.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Iron at low temperature
