Katia Genesis “Upcycled Marine Plastic” is the perfect yarn for those knitters worried about the environment since it is made of cotton and recycled polyester coming from the plastic on the sea.
Thanks to the Seaqual Initiative project, the polyester comes from the plastic leftovers found on the sea. This way we can clean the sea and reuse these fibers to reduce pollution. Help in the fight against sea pollution!
This yarn is very soft and lightweight, ideal to knit garments for spring and summer. Its color combination will provide a marbled effect in different shades. Ideal to knit multicolor shawls!
Katia Genesis is made of:
- 50% cotton
- 50% recycled polyester coming from the plastic sea leftovers
Which are the features of this yarn?
- Each ball has 150 grams and 600 meters.
- Its thickness is perfect to work with the 3 – 3,5 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
- Mount 30 stitches and do 35 rows to knit a 10 x 10 cm gauge.
- Washable at up to 30ºC.
- Iron at up to 110ºC.
- Do not tumble dry.
