Schachenmayr Regia Tweed – 6 ply is a marbled yarn with a tweed effect that combines different specks along the ball. This yarn has 150 grams.
This wool is composed of high-quality fibres that makes it a resistant, warm and long-lasting yarn.
Its strand is made of 6 threads of different colours making it thicker that Schachenmayr Regia Tweed 4 ply and it will bring a denim or washed out colours.
This wool has been specially designed for knitting socks. It takes only one ball of this wool to make one pair of socks up to size 46. You can also knit many other autumn/winter clothes, such as scarves, sweaters or warm cardigans.
Regia is made of:
- 70% virgin wool
- 25% polyamide
- 5% viscose
This wool is made of high-quality fibres making it a resistant fabric to the washing machine, dryer and iron.
The virgin wool is characterized by its thermal properties that will keep you warm in autumn and winter, while the polyamide makes it more resistant and the viscose a softer fabric.
You should know that Tweed – 6 ply …
- Each ball has 150 grams and 375 metres.
- Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 3 – 4 mm knitting needles or crochet hooks.
- Mount 22 stitches and do 30 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square.
- It can be washed in the washing machine up to 40ºC.
- You can use the dryer.
- It can be ironed at a low temperature, up to 110ºC.
To knit a long sleeve sweater size 40, you will need 650 grams.
