Schachenmayr Trachtenwolle is rustic yarn perfect to knit thick and dense warm clothes, both for women and men.
The word “Tracht” is used to refer the German traditional clothing. This yarn is based on the style of German farmers.
It is a yarn perfect to knit coats, jackets and thick sweaters.
It is available in smooth and marbled colours. Its smooth tones provide a nice mixture with little white fibers offering a marbled and special aspect.
Your clothes will be warm and original coloured, perfect for women and men as well.

- 37% Acrylic
The fiber yarn provides warm and a rustic touch. It is an excellent thermic regulator that keeps your body temperatura warm in winter seasons.
The acrylic fiber gives resistance and quality preventing wear and tear from use and washings.
You should know that Schachenmayr Trachtenwolle…
- Each ball has 100 grams and 185 mettres.
- Its thickness is perfect to knit with the 4 - 5 mm knitting or crochet needles.
- Mount 18 stitches and do 24 laps to knit a 10 x 10 cm square.
- The yarn is suitable to be washed by washing machine at 30ºC.
- Do not iron it.
- Do not dry it in the dryer.
- We recommend you dry it horizontally.
The amount of grams needed:
- To knit a women long sleeve sweater size M you will need 500 grams.
- To knit a men long sleeve sweater size M you will need 800 grams.
- To knit a kid long sleeve sweater size 6 years you will need 400 grams.
- To knit a women, men and kid hat you will need 100 grams.
- To knit a women, men or kid scarf you will need 200 grams.
